I think it’s fun to have your birthday coincide with another family celebration. That way, your family is together, and you can save by preparing one less event every year. However, having your birthday at new year’s eve can be very depressing seeing that not many of your school friends can celebrate with you. Moreover, your visitors would surely always be the same year after year, after year. However at night, you’d optimistically see fireworks everywhere thinking the whole world is celebrating your birthday. The downside is that they’re not really celebrating your birthday. In fact they’re counting down to the day when your birthday’s finished!
Less to this, I think it doesn’t really matter. My birthday’s International Women’s Day, y’all! A little more than two months to go.
It’s December 31 and for the celebration tonight for the coming year, our family prepared two new dishes on its menu. For n years, we used to have the same set of ‘celebration dishes’ so the addition won’t be a bad thing. What’s more, these are native Filipino delicacies (?) so it brings out the nationalism within us. (more…)

The other night was Zoe’s birthday party. She celebrated with a dinner dance party even though it was already her 19th because she wasn’t able to celebrate her 18th that way since she was at the US at that time.
She sent messages beforehand telling us that the program would promptly start at 6:00 PM so ‘don’t be too late’. Being wise as I am, I also sent messages to Tina, Choerleen and JC for them to prepare earlier (I will fetch them kasi.) I told Tina to be ready by 5:00 PM, Choerleen by 5:15PM, and JC by 5:30PM. After weeks of searching, trying and polishing, this blog is finally open. It’s been a while since I had new relevant material coming out of me from my previous blog. I just believe it has too many flaws (technical, on the server), too many sad stories and memories, too many rants and too many nonsense. And although at the time of the creation of that previous blog, my mindset was for it to really serve the said flaws (previously, ‘purposes’), I think that it is too much. And no one’s stopping.
