UPDATED! Some random thoughts I have that are not very coherent nor relevant.
1. I’m starting to miss our apartment last year in KNL. Although that area isn’t the most flattering place to live, bits and pieces of it are still the most cherished. Most of the time, I’d be stuck in my new boarding house (in UP Village) with no one to talk to. A year ago, I’d simply send Janis a text, and she’s already there staying for the night; or jump to the other room to chat with JE and Dan.
This is not to say that my present housemates aren’t amicable. It’s just that (perhaps) I’m in a point in my life that I’m not interested anymore in building new relationships with other people. With all the people around me, I’ve grown tired of putting effort in starting new ones. Don’t get me wrong, my present housemates are nicer than most of you can imagine. (Even going as far as looking for an empty room there for Britney to stay in case she drops by. “At least dito, walang paparazzi,” Kuya Tristan says.)
I miss KNL — the ketchup-ish spaghetti, the tocilog dinners, the piso-priced-piso-sized pan de sal. Yeah. I miss JE and Daniel; I miss spending evenings with Janis just to watch documentaries in my laptop; I miss hanging out with Grace to watch prerecorded concerts; I miss having fever with all of them offering what they can do to help. Kidding. :P Hehe
However, at least now I am a few blocks away from Philcoa — having late coffee trips would be easier since Beng is a text away, and there are multiple choices for dinner. Most of all, Janis would text me frequently that she misses me. I never experienced that last year. :P
2. The other night, I was reading through my old blog. Wala lang. I realized how I’ve changed, how everyone changed for that matter. Then, I would blog to have an outlet – which means that the content I was reading was purer than what you’re reading now.
Ooh the horror of seeing my old posts! Posts from “May gusto akong sabihin, pero natatakot ako. Ewan ah, pero sa tingin ‘di rin naman kasi makakatulong. *sigh*” to “Korean babies are stressful so I sent him back to China or wherever Korean babies come from.” Come on. I was so inspired by this ‘change’ and ‘growth’ the other night that I felt so saaaad, and I was already preparing a blog entry about it (as in this entry’s number two), but Kuya Titus stepped in the way and the posting was pushed back for two days. (See Titus-related entry below. Password? Message me and I’ll tell you.) Anyway, all this are self-proclaimed so no need to verify my claims, perfect.
3. I was wondering whether I’m simply biased against Miley Cyrus or is she really unimpressive in the live version of Just Stand Up! (see video here). I shared the video to most of my friends, and they had similar comments. Or could be that they don’t like Miley, too? Well, Tonting said, “Ang weird nung bata.” referring to Miley Cyrus which he isn’t familiar with, apparently. I win. :D
4. I loved the past sem, and I wish I had to relive it baby one more time. *sigh* A while back, I also said that I loved a semester and wished it would never end (first sem, 2007-08), and now, had it happened, I would’ve have experienced the previous sem. Argh! Oh last semester of my undergraduate life, please work for me perfectly! :D
5. I’m done, finally:

This is inch-by-inch turning into BreatheHeavy.com! After 36 hours of internet downtime (at least in our area), good news screams.
Bow down to the pop princess, y’all. BritBrit just scored another record breaker this week for “Womanizer”.
Another week, another record-breaking jump to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Britney Spears makes a near-maximum 96-1 rise with “Womanizer“ returning to the top of the list for the first time since her debut single “…Baby One More Time” hit No. 1 in January 1999. This is the third time in the past two months that the mark for the biggest jump to No. 1 has been shattered. On the Hot 100 dated Sept. 6, T.I. soared 71-1 with “Whatever You Like” and last week he sprinted 80-1 with “Live Your Life.” Spears’ single is spurred by first-week download sales of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey’s take for “Touch My Body” by just over 200 units. In between her nearly 10-year gap between No. 1s, Spears has placed four other top 10s on the Hot 100, the last being “Gimme More,” the first single from her last set, “Blackout.” That song jumped 68-3 last October with first-week download sales of 179,000. “Womanizer” previews Spears’ sixth studio set “Circus,” due Dec. 2 via Jive.

HOOORAY! For those who doesn’t know her, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade and to date, she has sold in excess of 62 million albums worldwide. Her record includes nine #1 worldwide singles and four consecutive #1 albums. She is also the eighth best selling female artist in history.

My EEE 10 (Everyday Electric and Electronics Engineering) exam was scheduled today. I studied well last night, too, as I should. The problem was I forgot the exam schedule. Good things was I’m almost sure it’d be either 9 or 10AM. I went to school at 9:30AM. Hahaha! Perhaps because if the exam turned out to start at 9, thirty minutes allowance for a latecomer won’t really hurt because the exam was fairly easy. Turned out, it was 10AM. *cheer* (At 9:30, the classroom was still locked.)
I went to the CSSC office instead. I was surprised to see two ‘packages’ tacked on our bulletin board with my name on it.

The first one was a Pizza Hut Palm card (inside a folded yellow pad). The card I’m using last year is expired; I bought another one when James treated the council during his celebration. The pizza man said that the card would just delivered later because they don’t have stocks left at the branch. So James received it, and tacked it for me to pick up when I drop by the office. Yay! Pizza!
More surprising was the other package. It was wrapped in not-so-fancy paper but in a very fancy way. ;) Okay, it was my new, limited edition lanyard that I bought from Dyan months ago. There was no chance for her to give it to me before. Eventually, she just asked Eleiza to give it me. (They live in the same dormitory.) Eleiza told me that she wrapped the lanyard. :) Yay! I took pictures because I was shocked when I saw that fancy item there. :)) Hehe. (I already knew the lanyard was there beforehand. I was not expecting it to be wrapped like that though.)

UPDATED! Finally, it’s here: the music video for I’ll Never Stop Loving You Womanizer.
HOT.
UPDATED! The video here is the director’s cut and has been flagged inappropriate for babies. ENJOY — especially my favorite part: 0:40-1:40 (basically, the whole ‘Britney-secretary’ scene. She looks fugly. HOT, nonetheless. And SILLY with her dancing officemates.)

Tulang One Year Ago
Ako ay may kaibigan,
at ‘Jorcs’ ang kanyang pangalan
Hindi maka-basag pinggan,
‘pagkat ‘to’y inaalagaan
S’ya’y lubhang napakagaling
sa kahit anu pang sining,
kaya’t huwag mong hamunin
‘pagkat ‘di kayang talunin!
Ngayong kanyang kaarawan,
nagdiwang ang sambayanan.
Napuno ang kanilang tiyan
ng pagkaing mala-suman
Happy birthday, Sef! :D
I’m making an eating program for **** in order for him/her (literally! Kidding! ;) ) to lose some pounds. Before continuing, let me prove to you first that he/she is serious in going through with my program. Here’s a Y!M conversation:
Jodi: nanlibre si James [Pang] ng pizza!
****: haha, that’s okay, funky food [yan.]
Anyway, I tried the the program myself. Basically, I had to combine proper foods for digestion. I won’t elaborate, but today, my lunch was fried chicken breast with a fresh garden salad. I felt like a goat munching on veggies, but I was satisfied. Yeah.
I was in at the CSSC office when I ate my lunch. After that, we had this sem’s last GA which lasted for about two hours. Incidentally, James Pang celebrated his birthday that day, too. He treated the council with pizza (as stated in the conversation above). I ate four slices.
Argh. Four slices of pizza. Four funky food slices.
That didn’t end there. That evening, before going home, I and Vika (whom I was surprised to see in Diliman that day) headed to Bonifacio High Street for some strolling. Haha. I went to Krispy Kreme to buy boxes of doughnuts for pasalubong. We decided to eat there as well. I wanted to eat just a blueberry cheesecake doughnut. Vika had two doughnuts for herself so I thought of having another doughnut for me. I ate two Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Two sugar-packed, carb-filled funky doughnuts.
WAAAAH. I arrived home feeling guilty, so I helped myself to another doughnut from the ones I brought home. Another WAAAAH.
Now, I can’t blame **** everytime he/she tells me, “ngayon lang, sige na.” about discarding skins of fried chicken. Hmm. Straight from the horse’s goat’s mouth.
MORE IRONIC: I checked my references; and my recipe, “Broken Cathedral Windows,” published in this sem’s issue of Scientia is classified as a funky food.
